Connie Lynne
Smith was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri.
She spent her childhood in the Midtown and Westport
neighborhoods. She attended George B. Longan Elementary school
and graduated from Westport High School. She attended college
in Kansas City and also studied at the University of California
at Berkeley. She lives with her husband and daughter in Kansas
City, where they are members of Our Lady of Good Counsel
Catholic Church. Connie is also a former
resident of Oceanside, California. She is a member of the William
Boydston Chapter of The Daughters of the
American
Revolution.
In addition to being an
author, Connie is a freelance writer and an award-winning Op/Ed
columnist. Her columns have been published in The
Kansas City Star newspaper and numerous online media
outlets. She is a member of the Society of
Professional Journalists; The Kansas City Press
Club; The Authors Guild and The
Missouri Writers Guild.
